here's a place in America that no one knows too much about. No, it's not Area 51, though you're not too far off. Skinwalker Ranch is a secretive plot of land in the middle of Ballard, Utah. It's known for unexplained happenings, which have been considered paranormal, extraterrestrial and, overall, entirely baffling.
Stories from the ranch, which used to be part of a secret Pentagon-funded research program according to a New York Times article in 2017, run rampant online, but have always been beyond explanation. Now, the ranch has a new owner—Brandon Fugal—and he's finally ready to let outsiders in. While Skinwalker Ranch isn't open for the public to explore, they can visit virtually in the History Channel's new series, The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. The documentary research series will air on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
Newsweek spoke with Fugal ahead of the series, and he admitted that owning the ranch has made him open his mind to things he may not have believed before. "For the first time in my life, I have been witness to things that defy any conventional explanation. My experiences on the ranch have forced me to re-examine my views, and to keep a more open mind," he said.
